Product Manager
About this role
A Lagos-based global staffing agency is seeking a Product Manager to lead the end-to-end development and launch of the platform’s minimum viable product (MVP) within a defined timeline. The role covers product strategy, team coordination, agile execution, user research, quality assurance, and supporting fundraising with product materials. The successful candidate will manage the product roadmap, coordinate cross-functional teams, conduct market and user research, document requirements, and oversee testing and deployment. They will also be responsible for data integrity and compliance with data protection laws, plus providing progress updates and contributing to investor materials. The position targets individuals with extensive product management experience, particularly in SaaS, fintech, edtech, or related tech fields, who can operate independently and manage remote teams.
What you would do
- Develop and manage the product roadmap focusing on MVP delivery and future releases.
- Coordinate designers, developers and stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Recruit and onboard required product development team members.
- Manage Agile/Scrum activities including stand-ups, sprint reviews, and backlog prioritisation.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, user interviews and pilot testing to validate features.
- Document product requirements, user stories, workflows and development milestones.
- Oversee UAT, deployment and post-launch performance monitoring.
- Provide weekly progress reports highlighting milestones, risks, blockers and next steps.
- Support fundraising activities through pitch decks, investor updates and product demonstrations.
- Ensure data integrity, security and compliance with data protection laws.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
- Minimum of five years’ product management experience, preferably in SaaS, fintech, edtech or research technology.
- Proven experience delivering MVPs or complex digital products within tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, project management tools, UI/UX principles and SDLC.
- Strong product documentation, analytical, communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate remote, cross-functional teams.
