Product Development Manager
About this role
Stova Industries Ltd in Lagos seeks a Product Development Manager to coordinate the full lifecycle of chemical products from ideation to launch. The role covers development across Air Care, Home Care, Personal Care and Soap/Detergent categories and involves collaboration with R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Quality Control, Production and Supply Chain. It requires 3+ years of experience managing product lifecycles and cross-functional teams and a relevant degree.
What you would do
- Oversee product development activities across Air Care, Home Care, Personal Care and Soap/Detergent categories.
- Supervise the transition of chemical batches from bench-scale lab testing to pilot plants and full-scale manufacturing.
- Manage the complete product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.
- Plan and coordinate internal and external product validation to assess performance, consumer acceptance and market fit.
- Analyse costs and overall product economics including raw materials, manufacturing and packaging costs.
- Ensure formulations, specifications, manufacturing processes and supporting documentation comply with NAFDAC requirements, Nigerian standards and applicable international standards.

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Design, Engineering, Business Administration or Marketing.
- MBA or professional certifications in project management or industrial design are advantageous.
- 3+ years of experience managing product lifecycles and cross-functional teams.
- Sound knowledge and experience in chemical product development and production.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Strong skills in product design, engineering principles, prototyping tools, market analysis, budgeting, leadership and communication.
