About this role
Regolith Technologies is seeking an experienced Product Designer for a 30 to 60 day contract, with potential extension. The role covers the full user experience across web, Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, plus the Admin dashboard, and involves building a design system to ensure consistency across platforms. You will own the design from user flows to developer-ready handoff, working with engineers, QA and the product lead. The product focus is a cross-platform time-tracking tool, including onboarding, time tracking, history, sharing, subscriptions and paywalls, with a shared design system and platform-specific adaptations. Deliverables include a Figma design system, high-fidelity screens, prototypes, and developer-ready specs and annotations.
What you would do
- Design the complete user experience across web, Windows, macOS, Android and iOS and the Admin dashboard.
- Create and maintain a shared design system including themes, tokens, typography, icons, components, and states.
- Develop user flows, high-fidelity screens and prototypes for key features (onboarding, time tracking, history, sharing, subscription flows).
- Produce developer-ready handoff files with specs, spacing, and annotations.
- Collaborate with web, desktop and mobile engineers, QA, and the product lead; participate in regular check-ins and reviews.
- Design platform-appropriate adaptations and ensure feasibility with engineering constraints (e.g., in-app purchases, native patterns).
- Present work using Figma prototypes and iterate on feedback.
- Work on design systems library for light and dark themes and platform-specific adaptations.
What they are asking for
- 3+ years of product design experience with a portfolio showing cross-platform products (web, desktop and mobile).
- Advanced Figma skills including components, variants, auto layout, styles and tokens, and prototyping.
- Experience building a design system with light and dark themes.
- Strong knowledge of iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design.
- Experience designing SaaS dashboards and subscription or paywall flows.
- Solid understanding of usability, accessibility and responsive design.
- Experience handing designs off to engineering teams and working in agile workflows.
- Clear communication and ability to present design decisions; able to work independently under tight timelines.
