Product Auditor (Remote)

About this role

Product Auditor role at Moniepoint Incorporated, Lagos (remote). It provides independent assurance over the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of product controls across payments, wallets, settlements and related products. What you would do

• Maintain the Product Audit Universe and annual Audit Plan based on risk.
• Review PRDs, business rules and transaction workflows to identify gaps and secure control sign-off before go-live.
• Periodically assess live products to confirm they operate as designed and detect drift or emerging risk patterns.
• Execute go-live readiness reviews as an independent control gate and escalate critical deficiencies.
• Interrogate the Fee Engine and test transaction integrity using SQL, including duplicate, reversal and chargeback scenarios.
• Assess settlement and ledger integrity, trace fund flows and audit change management for product configurations.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or related quantitative field.
• 3-5+ years in product audit, systems audit, financial data analytics or payment operations within fintech or financial services.
• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and transaction interrogation; familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL or MSSQL.
• Knowledge of payment product architecture (wallets, card processing, direct debit, settlement, reconciliation) and end-to-end transaction lifecycle.
• Certifications: CISA, CIA or CFE preferred; ACA/ACCA acceptable with strong technical product experience.
• Regulatory knowledge of Nigerian payment regulations and standards (CBN, PCI DSS, NDPR, consumer protection) and risk-based audit methodologies.
