Procurement & Supply Chain Officer
About this role
The role is for a Procurement & Supply Chain Officer to support the rollout and operation of fibre network projects in Ibadan, Oyo. It targets candidates with a background in procurement, supply chain, or related fields and experience in telecoms or infrastructure sectors. The employer is Group Aldelia Nigeria, a recruitment consultancy partnering with a fibre network operator. The position is full-time and permanent, reporting to the Head of Finance. Responsibilities focus on planning, sourcing, supplier management, PO processing, logistics, warehouse operations, and governance of procurement activities.
What you would do
- Procurement planning and demand forecasting
- Source and manage suppliers for network materials and equipment
- Manage RFQs, evaluate vendors, and negotiate with suppliers
- Process purchase orders and administer contracts
- Coordinate logistics, customs clearance, and delivery tracking
- Oversee warehouse operations and maintain inventory control
- Ensure material availability for network rollout activities
- Procure from contractors and service providers
- Monitor supplier performance and manage SLAs
- Maintain procurement governance, compliance and reporting
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, or Warehouse Operations
- Experience in Telecoms, ISP, Infrastructure, Utilities, Construction, or Technology sectors preferred
- Strong understanding of RFQs, POs, vendor management, inventory control and procurement processes
- Experience managing technical or network equipment procurement is highly desirable
- Proficiency in ERP, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CSCP, CPSP, or equivalent an added advantage
