Procurement Officer

Micdee Designs Limited is looking for a Procurement Officer based in Lagos. What you would do

• Source construction materials, interiors finishes, furniture, fixtures, fittings, equipment and other project requirements per approved specs
• Identify and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, availability and delivery timelines
• Ensure procured materials meet technical specifications, quality standards and project requirements
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Managers, Construction and Design teams on procurement needs and delivery schedules
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, RFQs, purchase orders and other procurement docs
• Track orders and deliveries to ensure timely site arrival and prevent delays
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
• Monitor material prices and maintain supplier and pricing database
• Coordinate inspection and verification of delivered materials for compliance and quantities

• BSc/HND in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply or related discipline
• 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience in interior fit-out or design and build
• Practical knowledge of interior finishes, building materials, furniture, joinery, lighting, sanitary fittings, ironmongery and related materials
• Familiarity with local suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, and subcontractors in the interior fit-out industry
• Experience interpreting BOQs, material schedules, specifications and project procurement requirements
• Strong negotiation, vendor management and cost-analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement/inventory tools
• Excellent organisational, documentation and reporting skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement requests under pressure
• High integrity, accountability and commercial awareness
