What you would do
- Source and secure high-quality raw materials, components and factory machinery for production.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and scheduling teams to ensure materials arrive in time for JIT or MRP requirements.
- Negotiate long-term, high-volume supply agreements and blanket purchase orders with suppliers.
- Collaborate with QA to audit vendors and ensure materials meet specifications and standards.
- Manage material lead times and buffer stocks to balance costs and stockouts.
- Establish and monitor supplier KPIs such as on-time delivery and defect rates.
- Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions and single-source dependencies.
- Oversee end-to-end purchasing operations and supplier relationships.
- Analyse total cost of ownership and conduct cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards and safety regulations.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of sourcing experience in manufacturing, factory or heavy industrial settings.
- Proficiency with MRP modules in ERP systems (e.g., SAP4HANA) and advanced Excel analytics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, raw material markets and global freight/Incoterms.
- Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints, interpret BOMs and perform TCO analysis.
