What you would do

• Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable contract terms
• Oversee local and foreign purchase orders ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Develop cost-saving strategies and optimise procurement expenditure
• Build and monitor supplier relationships and performance
• Collaborate with departments on demand forecasting and inventory management
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations and company standards
• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Lead, coach and supervise the procurement team to meet targets
• Prepare procurement reports and analyse performance data
• Review and improve procurement processes for efficiency and effectiveness

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management with proven team leadership
• Strong knowledge of local and foreign procurement processes
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• High integrity and sound professional judgement
• Knowledge of market trends, supplier management and procurement regulations
• Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria or related certification is an added advantage
• Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment is an added advantage
