Procurement & Inventory Officer
About this role
A full-time Procurement and Inventory Officer role based in Abuja, for someone to manage site stock, liaise with suppliers and oversee material procurement for construction projects. Suitable for candidates with experience in site procurement and inventory control.
What you would do
- Visit the construction site daily to monitor stock and materials
- Maintain records of materials received, issued and remaining
- Monitor material usage and identify shortages or discrepancies
- Coordinate procurement of materials based on site requirements
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery
- Prepare procurement and inventory reports for management and ensure documentation
What they are asking for
- HND or B.Sc. in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or related field
- 5–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction
- Experience in site procurement, stock control or construction inventory management
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and suppliers
- Proficient in record-keeping and Excel
- Good negotiation, communication and organisational skills
