Procurement & Inventory Officer
About this role
A Procurement and Inventory Officer is sought to manage procurement activities and daily stock checks at a construction site in Abuja. The role targets candidates with experience in site procurement, stock control and construction inventory management.
What you would do
- Visit the construction site daily to monitor stock of materials and supplies
- Maintain records of materials received, issued and remaining on site
- Monitor material usage and identify shortages, excesses or discrepancies
- Coordinate procurement of materials based on site requirements
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery
- Prepare procurement and inventory reports for management and ensure documentation and accountability

- HND or B.Sc. degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field
- 5 to 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Experience in site procurement, stock control or construction inventory management
- Good knowledge of construction materials and suppliers
- Strong record-keeping and Excel skills
- Good negotiation, communication and organisational skills
