A Procurement Executive is sought for a Lagos (and Port Harcourt) based oil and gas, procurement and supply chain company. The role involves driving cost optimisation, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies and regulations. The candidate will oversee sourcing, purchasing, expediting, logistics and supplier management, while developing strategies and mitigating supply chain risks. The position targets individuals with significant procurement, sourcing or supply chain experience in the oil and gas sector, and strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
What you would do
- Conduct market surveys and maintain a procurement cost database
- Prepare reports on procurement performance, cost savings, supplier compliance and supply chain efficiency
- Manage procurement budgets and monitor costs to optimise working capital
- Monitor supply chain performance and report to senior management
- Document procurement workflows, processes, cycle times and responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and potential disruptions
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favourable terms
- Ensure contract management and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate procurement activities including purchasing, expediting, logistics and material handling

- Understanding of supplier management, contract administration, cost control and supply chain risk management
- MBA or MSc is an added advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in using the NIPEX Portal for procurement
- Compulsory experience in logistics operations
- 5–8 years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience in oil and gas
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (mandatory)
