Procurement Engineer (Oil & Gas)
About this role
A full‑time Procurement Engineer (Oil & Gas) based in Rivers, focusing on end‑to‑end procurement for oil and gas projects. It targets engineers with significant procurement or project experience in the sector and strong supplier management skills.
What you would do
- Source materials, equipment and services from local and international vendors
- Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations and process purchase orders
- Review technical specifications, engineering drawings and vendor documentation
- Manage supplier relationships, pricing discussions and delivery schedules
- Coordinate logistics, inspections and material delivery to project sites
- Maintain procurement records, reports and compliance documentation

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 8–15 years of experience in procurement or project engineering in oil and gas or heavy industry
- Experience in RFQs, bid evaluations, technical procurement and vendor management
- Understanding of engineering specifications and standards (API/ASME/ISO) and international sourcing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems
- Strong analytical, negotiation, documentation and stakeholder management skills
