Procurement and Contracts Officer

Givanas Group of Companies is looking for a Procurement and Contracts Officer to support a Margarine Manufacturing Plant Project in Ibadan, with later work in the operations procurement team. The role involves managing project procurement, sourcing equipment and materials, expediting deliveries, coordinating logistics and administering contracts. It targets individuals with experience in procurement and contracts within industrial or manufacturing settings. The employer operates in manufacturing and distribution of fast moving consumer goods for Nigerian distributors and customers.

What you would do

• Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare RFQs and coordinate bid evaluations (technical and commercial).
• Negotiate supplier terms and prepare purchase orders and contracts.
• Source machinery, packaging, utility equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation and construction materials.
• Track vendor manufacturing, inspections, factory acceptance testing and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, clearing agents, transporters and project teams.
• Monitor contractual obligations and manage variations, claims, amendments and commercial correspondence.
• Maintain procurement trackers and contract registers.
• Support final-account settlement and contract close-out.

What they are asking for

• Degree or HND in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant procurement and contracts experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing projects.
• Experience procuring technical equipment and administering contracts.
• Strong negotiation, commercial evaluation, documentation and coordination skills.
• Professional procurement certification is an advantage.
