What you would do
- Monitor and lead junior engineers in developing process design specifications (heat and material balances, flow plans, equipment design, hydraulic and utility balances, process control and instrumentation, materials selection, safety facilities)
- Lead or perform process optimization studies to identify cost savings and design improvements
- Provide technical oversight of engineering contractor work during front end engineering and detailed engineering
- Ensure contractor outputs comply with company methods, project specifications and owner requirements
- Participate in Hazard & Operability Reviews for new or modified facilities and existing plant support
- Provide commissioning and start-up assistance for new or modified facilities as required
- Assist in establishing organisational structure and staffing for the process engineering team
