POS Recovery Manager
About this role
The POS Recovery Manager leads end-to-end recovery of non-performing POS terminal assets, from risk flags to retrieval, settlement and post-write-off recovery. The role targets candidates with experience in large-scale field operations, asset recovery and leadership across Nigeria, ideally within fintech or similar high-volume logistics contexts.
What you would do
- Define and manage the terminal recovery lifecycle and escalation timelines.
- Design and refine recovery strategies including collection, logistics, coordination with agents and external agencies, and asset custody flow.
- Lead and develop a distributed field recovery team across regions and build agent training programmes.
- Manage recovery economics to ensure costs stay below recovered value and report monthly on key metrics and financial impact.
- Establish and enforce SOPs for all recovery scenarios and ensure governance over recovery processes.
- Monitor and report on recovery KPIs such as recovery rate, days to recovery, cost per recovery and bounty efficiency.

- Minimum 7 years of progressive field operations experience with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience managing large distributed field teams across multiple regions in Nigeria.
- Experience with asset or after-sales recovery, logistics, or high-volume distributed operations.
- Experience managing third-party vendors or agency networks under performance-based contracts.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance aspects relevant to asset recovery, write-offs, and insurance claims in Nigeria.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting and driving ROI on recovery spend.
