POS Recovery Manager

About this role

A leadership role overseeing end-to-end recovery of non-performing POS terminals in Lagos, from risk flagging to physical retrieval, settlement and post-write-off recovery. Targets candidates with extensive senior-level field operations and asset recovery experience, including management of distributed teams and third-party providers.

What you would do

• Define and manage the terminal recovery lifecycle including escalation and settlement within set deadlines
• Lead and accountability for a distributed field recovery team across regions
• Develop and refine SOPs for all recovery scenarios and train recovery agents
• Manage recovery economics to ensure costs are covered by recovered value and report monthly on key metrics
• Oversee coordination with external agencies, logistics, and internal stakeholders
• Monitor recovery KPIs and ensure ethical, compliant field operations

What they are asking for

• Minimum 7 years in large-scale field operations, asset recovery or after-sales service
• At least 3 years in a senior leadership role leading distributed field teams in Nigeria
• Experience managing third-party service providers or agency networks on performance-based contracts
• Direct experience in the Nigerian market with relevant regulatory and operational realities
• Preferred: background in fintech, telecoms, e-commerce logistics or high-volume distributed asset management
• Preferred: experience handling asset recovery at scale (thousands of units per month)
