About this role
Portfolio Manager role with a reputable asset management company, TeamAce Limited, in Marina, Lagos. It is a full-time position to manage client investment portfolios, develop strategies, execute trading activities, and optimise portfolio performance in line with client objectives and risk parameters.
What you would do
- Build and manage diversified portfolios aligned with client objectives and risk profiles.
- Develop investment strategies based on clients' Investment Policy Statements (IPS).
- Identify and evaluate opportunities across bonds, equities, fixed income, and other asset classes; monitor market, economic trends and portfolio performance.
- Communicate investment instructions to brokers and counterparties; coordinate with fund managers, banks, Trustees, and partners on investment matters.
- Prepare investment memos, performance reports, portfolio reviews and quarterly reports; present insights to senior management and clients.
- Model and analyse investments using financial tools to forecast returns, assess risk, and advise on positions and corporate actions; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum four years of relevant experience in portfolio management, investment management, asset management, or related field, with exposure to real estate, equities, and fixed income.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, valuation techniques, asset allocation, portfolio management and investment strategies.
- Proficiency with portfolio management tools and financial modelling, including Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg or similar platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of Naira and Eurobonds and Nigerian/international equities; SEC-sponsored individual status is an advantage.
- Strong relationships with issuing houses, banks, brokers, Trustees and other sell-side market participants; excellent analytical, communication and client-management skills.
