Portfolio Analyst Consumer Lending
About this role
FairMoney in Lagos is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to provide dedicated portfolio analytics for the Consumer Lending Risk team. The role focuses on monitoring portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks early and supporting data-driven credit and portfolio decisions as the business scales.
What you would do
- Monitor performance across the lending lifecycle from application to recoveries
- Analyse portfolio vintages and key risk metrics
- Perform segmentation analysis by risk grade, customer profile, product, amount, tenor, pricing and channel
- Track the end-to-end lending funnel and identify drivers of approval, conversion and utilisation
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards for Risk and stakeholders
- Identify emerging portfolio risks and recommend actions
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in consumer lending, fintech, retail credit, portfolio risk or credit analytics
- Demonstrated experience analysing loan portfolio performance and the lending lifecycle from application and underwriting through repayment, delinquency and collections
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining Tableau dashboards
- Strong SQL and data-analysis skills; proficiency in Excel is required
- Experience with Python or another analytical language is an advantage
