About this role

A Population and Data Specialist at UNFPA Nigeria in Abuja supports the country office with strategic leadership on population dynamics, data-driven policy advice, and advocacy to integrate demographic insights into national development plans. What you would do

• Lead engagement to integrate population dynamics into national development planning.
• Conduct high-level policy dialogue with government and partners to embed UNFPA priorities into policies and plans.
• Contribute to formulation and review of the UNSDCF and support policy coherence across the UN system.
• Translate global and regional frameworks into country strategies using demographic data and provide evidence-based advocacy.
• Support tracking of Nigeria's commitments to global, regional and national frameworks related to UNFPA’s agenda.
• Provide technical knowledge and guidance on population change and SRHR to CO, government, intergovernmental bodies and partners.
