About this role
A Plumber is needed by VAVA Project, a real estate and construction company, to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, water supply, drainage and related systems across facilities and project sites. The role is based in Victoria Island, Lagos and is full-time within the MEP department reporting to management. The employer operates within the VAVA Group focusing on construction-site operations, architecture, engineering, security, procurement, administration and human resources management. The job involves handling installations for new builds and renovations, performing inspections and preventive maintenance, and coordinating with the facilities team and contractors. What you would do
- Ensure plumbing work is completed safely and to required standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Respond to plumbing emergencies and urgent maintenance requests.
- Maintain and safely use plumbing tools and equipment.
- Identify and resolve leaks, blockages and pressure issues.
- Install, maintain and repair water supply, drainage, sewage and plumbing systems.
- Carry out installations for new construction, renovations and improvements.
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, materials and equipment used.
- Install and repair pipes, valves, taps, toilets, sinks, water tanks, pumps and fixtures.
- Collaborate with the Facility Manager, maintenance team, contractors and other technical staff.
