What you would do
- Dispose of waste materials generated during plumbing works and keep work areas clean.
- Report major faults and repairs requiring extra resources to the supervisor.
- Inspect water supply and drainage systems for leaks, corrosion, blockages and potential failures.
- Install, maintain and replace toilets, washbasins, sinks, showers, faucets, water heaters, pumps and related equipment.
- Use personal protective equipment and maintain safe work areas during maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to plumbing complaints and maintenance requests at assigned sites.
- Follow technical procedures, building requirements and health and safety guidelines.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Perform pipe fitting, cutting, threading, joining and replacement as per specifications.
- Identify and repair leaks, blocked drains, burst pipes and other faults.
