Plant Manager (Injection Molding)
About this role
A full‑time Plant Manager for an injection and blow molding plastic manufacturing plant in Aba, Abia. The role oversees production, maintenance, QA, stores and HSE across two shifts and aims to reduce waste, cut downtime and improve overall plant performance. Suitable for Nigerians with plant management or operations experience in plastics who can reside in or relocate to Aba.
What you would do
- Oversee Production, Maintenance, QA, Stores and HSE for two shifts
- Reduce material waste and machine downtime
- Own production cost per kg and meet monthly budgets
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and minimise rejects
- Document and enforce SOPs, maintenance schedules and safety protocols
- Lead, train and manage 100+ production staff and deliver regular dashboards
What they are asking for
- BEng/BSc in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering
- Plastics certification is an advantage
- 8+ years in plastic manufacturing
- Experience managing injection molding and blow molding
- Deep knowledge of HDPE and PP; ability to troubleshoot machines
- Proven leadership in turning around plant performance and building teams with Lean, 5S, TPM
