Piping / Structural Design Checker
About this role
The role requires independent verification of engineering drawings and design deliverables for technical accuracy, compliance with project requirements and standards, and consistency with design information. It is intended for someone with significant piping or structural design experience in the oil and gas sector. The position is based in Lagos.
What you would do
- Review piping or structural drawings prepared by designers.
- Verify dimensions, elevations, orientations and design details.
- Check drawings against P&IDs, calculations, specifications and design criteria.
- Identify errors, omissions, clashes and inconsistencies.
- Review drawing revisions and ensure comments have been incorporated.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards and client specifications.
What they are asking for
- Degree in an engineering field (OND/HND/BSc/BTech) or equivalent technical qualification.
- At least 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Significant experience in piping or structural design.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience checking engineering drawings and design documents.
- Proficiency with relevant CAD/design software.
