Pipe / Structural Fitting II

About this role

Role involves performing pipe and structural fitting tasks according to approved drawings and specifications, installing and aligning piping and structural components, and supporting fabrication, erection and QA/QC activities. It requires reading P&IDs, piping isometrics and fabrication or structural drawings, and is suitable for applicants with OND or technical certificates and experience in oil and gas, fabrication or maintenance. Location: Lagos.

What you would do

• Prepare pipes, fittings, structural members, tools, and materials for installation.
• Carry out flange alignment, bolt-up, gasket installation, and piping assembly.
• Fit elbows, tees, reducers, valves, blinds, supports, and other piping components.
• Assist with structural steel installation, including beams, columns, supports, platforms, ladders, and handrails.
• Check pipe routing and structural positioning against approved drawings.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, levels, and alignment equipment correctly.

What they are asking for

• OND or technical certificate, trade certificate, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Pipe Fitting, Structural Fitting, Fabrication or related field.
• Relevant experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, fabrication, construction, or industrial maintenance.
• Practical experience in pipe fitting, structural erection, fabrication, and mechanical installation.
• Ability to interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, structural drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of piping components, valves, flanges, fittings, supports, and structural steel members.
• Familiarity with dimensional measurement, alignment, fit-up and installation practices.
