Lily Hospitals Limited in Lagos is seeking a qualified pharmacist to ensure the safe, effective and appropriate use of medications and to provide quality pharmaceutical care to patients. The role involves dispensing medicines, reviewing prescriptions, counselling patients, and collaborating with the clinical team.
What you would do
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and safely in accordance with prescriptions and professional standards.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, potential drug interactions, allergies and contraindications.
- Provide patients with information and counselling on use, dosage and possible side effects.
- Monitor medication therapy and identify potential medication-related problems.
- Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and pharmaceutical interventions.
- Manage storage, handling and inventory control, including expiry date monitoring and stock rotation.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognised institution.
- Must be registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and hold a current practising licence.
- 1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Experience in dispensing, patient counselling, inventory management and clinical pharmacy practice is an added advantage.
- Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards; patient-focused, reliable and accountable.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays; willingness to work in Benin City, Edo State.
