Anadach Consulting in Lagos is seeking an experienced ophthalmologist who can work independently. The role involves providing comprehensive ophthalmic care from consultation to discharge, performing routine ophthalmic surgery, and supervising other members of the eye-care team, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

What you would do

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care from consultation through investigation, treatment and discharge.
• Assess and manage general ophthalmic conditions and perform routine ophthalmic surgery competently.
• Provide appropriate preoperative and postoperative care and maintain accurate records.
• Supervise optometrists, nurses and other members of the eye-care team.
• Participate in clinical governance, patient-safety and quality-improvement activities.

What they are asking for

• Fellowship in Ophthalmology from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, West African College of Surgeons, or an appropriate Royal College.
• Current MDCN registration and annual practising licence.
• Post-fellowship clinical and surgical experience is preferred.
• Independently competent in routine ophthalmic procedures.
