About this role
The role is for an Operator to monitor and control a fully automated dairy production line at Viju Industries Nigeria Limited in Ogun. The job involves remote supervision via SCADA/DCS, ensuring product recipes and process parameters are followed for consistent quality. It includes handling alarms, making emergency adjustments, and coordinating with floor staff, as well as operating the CIP system and managing shift handovers. The position requires experience in fermentation, pre-treatment or batching environments, preferably in dairy or beverage industries, and a background in food science, automation or related fields. The work schedule requires rotating shifts, including nights, with a focus on maintaining hygiene and production data logs.
What you would do
- Remotely monitor and control the automated dairy production line via SCADA/DCS.
- Execute product recipes and process parameters to ensure batch quality.
- Identify alarms and perform emergency adjustments; coordinate with on-site staff to resolve issues.
- Operate the Clean-in-Place system to clean tanks and pipelines.
- Follow shift handover procedures and log production data for transitions.
- Maintain hygiene and process data integrity in dairy production environments.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree or above in Food Science, Bioengineering, Automation, or related fields.
- Proficient computer operations and familiarity with DCS/SCADA or industrial automation software.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fermentation, pre-treatment or batching/blending in large-scale food brands.
- Experience in the dairy or beverage industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of dairy or brewing processing technologies is advantageous.
- Hands-on automation experience or understanding of central control on automated production lines.
- Age between 25 and 30 years.
