A full-time Operations Lead role based in Lagos, supporting the COO with plant readiness, project execution, and cross-functional operational activities. The position involves coordinating production, maintenance, HSE, quality, SOP development and staffing, as well as tracking progress of engineering, procurement and installation activities. The role requires managing relationships with OEMs, contractors, consultants and suppliers, ensuring follow-up on action items and escalation of issues. Regular reporting on operational and project KPIs, risks and milestones is expected, plus collaboration with multiple internal teams to ensure material and equipment availability. Suitable for candidates with a engineering, business or operations background and substantial manufacturing or plant operations experience.
What you would do
- Coordinate production, maintenance, HSE, quality and SOP development activities.
- Track engineering, procurement, equipment installation and contractor milestones.
- Manage relationships with OEMs, contractors, consultants and suppliers and ensure action items are followed up.
- Escalate operational issues promptly and coordinate cross-functional resolutions.
- Monitor and report on key operational and project KPIs and provide regular progress updates to the COO.
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, HR, Legal, Engineering, HSE and Logistics to ensure material and equipment availability.

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations, industrial operations, or engineering/project execution.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing/plant operations, process/SOP development and performance management.
- Proven experience coordinating with OEMs, contractors, vendors and consultants; strong negotiation and coordination skills.
