Operations Director – FMCG / Manufacturing

About this role

A senior operations leadership role responsible for end-to-end operations and supply chain in a FMCG/manufacturing setting. It oversees manufacturing, quality, R&D/NPD, engineering, HSE, planning, logistics and warehousing to drive integration, performance and sustainable growth.

What you would do

• Lead the end-to-end operations and supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee manufacturing, engineering, quality, R&D/NPD, HSE, planning, logistics and warehousing.
• Drive productivity, cost optimisation and continuous improvement across operations.
• Ensure product quality, safety, regulatory compliance and manage operational risk.
• Optimise production planning, inventory, logistics and warehousing performance.
• Lead capital projects and maintenance/operational technology initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business or related field; postgraduate qualification advantageous.
• 15+ years' experience in operations, manufacturing and/or supply chain leadership.
• Strong experience in FMCG or a complex manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record leading multiple operational pillars across career (manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics, planning and/or R&D).
• Demonstrated experience managing large teams, operational budgets and capital expenditure.
• Strong strategic, analytical, leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.
