Operational Geologist
About this role
Operational Geologist position with Scruples Resources in Lagos. The role involves supporting HSE and subsurface geological operations, monitoring drilling data in real time, and providing interpretation of geological information. It requires coordination with cross-functional teams and participation in well planning and post-well studies.
What you would do
- Support HSE and subsurface geological operations.
- Monitor pore pressure, fracture pressure and temperature data during drilling.
- Provide real-time geological operations monitoring and interpretation.
- Ensure the security and integrity of well data acquisition.
- Participate in well planning and preparation, including 3W and WSOR processes.
- Manage geological archives, data storage and data acquisition service providers.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Geology.
- 10 - 12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Minimum 5 years of subsurface operations experience in roles such as Wellsite Geologist, Operations Geologist, Head of Subsurface, or Petrophysical Analysis Specialist.
- Comprehensive knowledge of well operations in deepwater, shallow-water, and onshore environments.
- Good understanding of Exploration and Exploration & Production processes.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
