Operational Buyer

About this role

Operational Buyer needed by Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited in Ondo. The role involves procuring goods and services, managing suppliers and stakeholders, and ensuring value, quality and timely delivery for the organisation.

What you would do

• Identify and evaluate suppliers and negotiate terms
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders
• Implement procurement strategies and monitor supplier performance
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and prepare procurement reports
• Support contract management and mitigate procurement risks
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, legal and financial requirements

What they are asking for

• Member of a recognised procurement and supply body
• Minimum 5 years in procurement, supply chain management and vendor management
• At least 3 years in import processes and use of Customs, NAFDAC and SON platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Nigeria Customs portal for importation
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Purchasing and Supply Management, Marketing, Accounting or related field
