About this role

Role for Smart Energies (formerly Smart Gas NG) in Lagos, supporting the Badagry pilot. It involves onsite media creation during LPG cylinder distribution, short‑form video production, community storytelling, equipment management, and social media oversight with the project team.

What you would do

• Capture high‑quality photos and videos during LPG cylinder distribution across the Badagry wards.
• Create short‑form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Shorts featuring beneficiary stories, retailer onboarding, and safety demonstrations.
• Cover community sensitisation events, local government engagements, and field operations in real time.
• Operate smartphone cameras and media gear, including wireless microphones.
• Draft captions, schedule posts, and track engagement across Smart Energies channels.
• Collaborate with the Onsite Project Coordinator to upload media assets promptly.

What they are asking for

• Based in or willing to stay/work onsite in Badagry for the pilot duration.
• Proven experience in smartphone photography and mobile video editing (CapCut, Canva, Premiere, etc.) and storytelling.
• Strong understanding of trends, hashtags, and engagement tactics for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Confident and friendly when interviewing community members, retailers, and beneficiaries in English, Yoruba, or Egun.
• Self‑motivated, punctual, organised, and able to work active field hours across multiple locations.
• Portfolio or links to active social media pages showing video editing and content creation work.
