About this role
An Officer - Finance & Accounts is responsible for managing the accounts receivable cycle for both cash and credit clients, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections and reliable ledgers to protect the company’s cash flow. This role suits someone with accounting experience who can handle multiple clients and sites.
What you would do
- Prepare invoices for credit clients and issue receipts for cash clients
- Raise credit notes and corrections with documented approval
- Maintain accurate customer ledgers and post postings daily
- Reconcile customer accounts to general ledger and bank statements monthly
- Produce and review receivables ageing and follow up overdue accounts
- Provide reports on debtor days, collection rate and disputed balances and support audits
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- ICAN or ANAN qualification (or part-qualified and actively studying) is an advantage
- 2 to 4 years' experience in accounts receivable, billing or general accounting
- Experience with credit control and collections
- Knowledge of accounting software and ERP/billing systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo) and advanced Excel
- Working knowledge of Nigerian VAT and WHT
