NYSC Storyteller, Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern
About this role
The Learning Gate Limited is seeking an NYSC Storyteller, Social Media and Digital Marketing Intern for an onsite role in Abuja. The position targets corps members who are creative, digitally savvy and enjoy storytelling, content creation and community building across online platforms. The role supports brand visibility, community engagement and marketing campaigns, with a focus on startups, technology, entrepreneurship and social impact. Applicants must reside around the Jabi, Utako or Wuye axis and be currently serving or posted to Abuja with at least nine months to POP. Remuneration is a monthly allowance aligned with company policy and the closing date for applications is 31 December 2026.
What you would do
- Research and develop stories about startups, founders, programs, partners and ecosystem impact
- Write content for social media, blogs, newsletters and websites
- Capture and curate content from events and interviews
- Turn complex ideas into human-centered narratives
- Assist with managing social media platforms and content calendars
- Engage with followers and grow online communities
- Draft and schedule posts, track trends and propose ideas
- Support digital marketing campaigns for programs and events
- Assist with email marketing, CRM basics and performance tracking
- Provide basic SEO and content optimisation guidance

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, Journalism, Digital Marketing or related field with relevant experience
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Active user of social media with understanding of trends
- Creative storytelling ability and basic digital marketing knowledge
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Nice-to-have: experience managing social media accounts, familiarity with AI tools, Canva, CapCut or Adobe tools, interest in startups/tech/entrepreneurship ecosystems, basic analytics knowledge
