Nutrition Officer
About this role
A Nutrition Officer is needed to support and implement nutrition activities for vulnerable and crisis-affected populations in Maiduguri, under the supervision of the Nutrition Programme Manager. The role focuses on screening, referral, community outreach, feeding practices, data collection and reporting in line with guidelines and donor requirements.
What you would do
- Monitor progress against targets and activity plans
- Support delivery of nutrition interventions at community and service levels
- Document and ensure activities follow workplans and guidelines
- Identify at-risk individuals and refer them appropriately
- Conduct nutrition screening for children, pregnant and breastfeeding women
- Support data collection, reporting and monitoring of nutrition activities and commodities

- Qualification in nutrition or related field
- Experience in community nutrition, screening and referrals (preferably in humanitarian settings)
- Ability to work with health teams, MEAL and support staff
- Familiarity with nutrition guidelines, national protocols and donor standards

- Willingness to work in Maiduguri, Borno State (contract role)
