Nutrition Assistant

About this role

Nutrition Assistant needed for INTERSOS in Maiduguri, Magumeri, and Dikwa to manage day-to-day activities at the Outpatient Therapeutic Programme site, including stock handling, reporting, and supporting programme targets for children with severe acute malnutrition.

What you would do

• Forecast nutrition supplies for the OTP weekly and monthly
• Submit monthly supply requests for validation
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to deliver supplies to OTP sites
• Verify expiry dates and ensure RUTF with adequate shelf life for patients
• Support nurses with daily programme performance reports
• Assist with CNV and HMIS-related activities and monthly OTP reporting

What they are asking for

• Diploma or certificate in CHEW, bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Nutrition Assistant in NGO environment
• At least 6 months’ experience in NGO data management roles
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; ability to learn relevant software
• Fluency in English and Hausa (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of nutrition protocols and INGO work experience preferred
