Nuclear Medicine (SPECT/PET) Radiographer
About this role
A Nuclear Medicine Radiographer specialising in PET/CT and SPECT is being hired to deliver PET, PET/CT and SPECT imaging at AMCE Abuja, supporting diagnosis, staging, treatment planning and response assessment. The role targets radiographers with hands‑on PET/CT experience, medical imaging competence and radiopharmaceutical handling skills.
What you would do
- Perform PET examinations and PET/CT studies within the approved service scope
- Coordinate tracer injection, uptake and acquisition times with radiopharmacy and clinical teams
- Position patients and select scan coverage and parameters for PET/CT imaging
- Reconstruct and review PET/CT images and identify artefacts
- Carry out SPECT and related nuclear medicine imaging as required
- Maintain radiation protection, quality control, documentation and patient care throughout procedures
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Radiography or related field
- RRBN registration and current practising licence
- Certification in PET/CT and SPECT imaging
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a radiographer with hands‑on PET/CT experience
- Experience in oncology imaging, radiopharmaceutical workflow, equipment QC and PACS/RIS documentation
- Current basic life support training and competence in venous access and patient monitoring
