Nuclear Medicine (SPECT / PET) Radiographer
About this role
A full-time Nuclear Medicine Radiographer in Abuja, focused mainly on PET imaging (PET/CT) but also performing SPECT and related procedures, to support cancer diagnosis, staging, treatment planning and response assessment at AMCE Abuja. Suitable for radiographers with extensive PET/CT experience and certified in PET/SPECT imaging who can work within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
What you would do
- Perform PET examinations and PET/CT studies according to approved protocols.
- Coordinate tracer preparation, uptake, and scan timing with radiopharmacy and clinical teams.
- Acquire, reconstruct and review PET and CT images; ensure image quality and readiness for interpretation.
- Conduct SPECT and conventional nuclear medicine studies as trained and authorised.
- Ensure patient preparation, safety, consent, and post-procedure care.
- Maintain radiation protection, quality control, records and coordination with related departments.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ radiographer experience in a clinical setting.
- Certification in PET/CT and SPECT imaging.
- Current RRBN registration and practising licence.
- Experience in oncology imaging and radiopharmaceutical workflow; PACS/RIS documentation.
- Practical competence in SPECT and gamma camera imaging; SPECT/CT experience desirable.
