AIBT in Lagos is looking for an experienced Network Architect to design, implement, optimise and maintain secure, scalable and high-performance network infrastructure that supports its business operations and technology goals. The role focuses on developing network architecture strategies, evaluating new technologies, ensuring security and resilience, and leading enterprise network solution implementations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network design, routing and switching, cloud networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management. The position involves translating business requirements into reliable, cost-efficient technical solutions and providing technical leadership to the IT team.
What you would do
- Design and develop enterprise network architectures to support current and future needs
- Plan, implement and optimise LANs, WANs, wireless networks and data centre networks
- Create network architecture standards, specifications, diagrams and implementation plans
- Design and manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs and other network components
- Implement and maintain network segmentation, access controls and secure connectivity
- Build resilient networks with redundancy, failover, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Evaluate and implement cloud networking across Azure, AWS and OCI where applicable
- Assess capacity, performance, availability and scalability and propose improvements
- Lead network upgrades, migrations, deployments and complex troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, cloud, application support and other IT teams for integration of network services

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (computer science, computer engineering, IT, telecommunications or electrical/electronic engineering)
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in network engineering or enterprise networking
- Experience designing and managing complex enterprise networks with routing, switching, security and high availability
- Experience leading network infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations and incident resolution
- Exposure to cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure, SD-WAN or SDN is an advantage
- Ability to develop technical architecture documents, diagrams, standards and implementation plans
- Strong knowledge of enterprise network architecture and engineering principles
- Proficiency with routing and switching protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS)
- Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN and data centre networks and network security
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
