Multigres Engineer

About this role

Supabase is seeking an engineer to contribute to Multigr es, its open-source distributed database that extends Postgres with horizontal scaling. The role involves architecting and implementing distributed database infrastructure such as sharding, consensus protocols, and materialization systems. You will work with the Postgres, networking, and infrastructure teams to advance distributed database technology. The position is fully remote and global.

What you would do

• Design and implement query routing logic for sharded databases
• Build consensus and replication systems to support distributed durability
• Develop materialization pipelines for migrations and change data capture
• Contribute to connection pooling infrastructure and workload isolation
• Collaborate with the open-source community on Multigr es development
