Multigres Deployment Engineer

About this role

Supabase seeks an engineer to own the deployment and operational infrastructure for Multigres, its distributed Postgres platform. The role focuses on building and maintaining the Multigres Operator and the tooling that powers a Kubernetes-based deployment, with responsibilities spanning cloud deployment infrastructure, storage and networking, and operational tooling. What you would do

• Build and maintain the Multigres Operator.
• Maintain the Go-based Kubernetes operator that orchestrates distributed Postgres deployments.
• Architect cloud deployment infrastructure for Kubernetes platforms (e.g., EKS).
• Design and implement deployment patterns, storage and networking solutions.
• Manage storage, networking layers, CSI drivers, and cross-cloud connectivity to ensure data reliability.
• Develop deployment tooling and internal automation for provisioning, scaling, and managing Multigres clusters.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics for the deployment layer.
• Collaborate with database engineers, SREs, and product teams to improve deployment experiences.
