About this role

Role based in Lagos involves managing the Montessori classroom in line with Montessori principles, supervising staff, and upholding safeguarding standards. The incumbent will assess student progress, maintain records, and foster positive relationships with parents.

What you would do

• Lead and manage the Montessori classroom in line with Montessori philosophy and principles.
• Prepare and maintain an organised, engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Plan Montessori activities that develop academic, social, emotional, and practical-life skills.
• Observe and assess students' progress and milestones.
• Maintain accurate classroom records and prepare regular progress reports.
• Communicate with parents and participate in parent-teacher conferences.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Montessori Directress/Director in a practising Montessori or preschool environment.
• Montessori Diploma/Certificate from a recognised training institution.
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy, principles, and classroom practice.
• Proven experience managing a Montessori classroom and supervising junior staff.
• Strong observation, documentation, classroom management, and communication skills.
