About this role
A leading FMCG company, Total Data Limited, is seeking a Mobile Sales Representative (VSR) to drive sales in Lagos. The role involves visiting customers, distributing products, processing orders, and ensuring timely delivery and accurate records. The position requires managing customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and maintaining vehicle and stock control. It targets candidates with relevant van or route sales experience and a valid driver's licence, who can work independently within assigned territories including Marina, Satellite Town, Obalende, and Ibeju Lekki.
What you would do
- Drive the company van to assigned territories and customer locations.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets within the territory.
- Visit existing and prospective customers to generate sales and expand the customer base.
- Promote products and identify upselling opportunities.
- Receive and process customer orders and ensure timely fulfilment.
- Load and secure products in the vehicle with stock accountability.
- Ensure delivered products match orders and obtain proof of delivery where required.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide good service.
- Collect customer payments where applicable and ensure proper remittance.
- Monitor stock levels on the vehicle and report shortages or discrepancies promptly.

- Minimum of SSCE or OND or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record.
- 1–2 years of experience in van sales, route sales, FMCG sales, distribution, or related field preferred.
- Proven ability to sell products, generate orders, and achieve targets.
- Good communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Basic numerical, cash-handling, and record-keeping skills.
- Good knowledge of road networks within the assigned territory.
- Ability to work independently and manage sales routes to meet targets.
- Physically fit to load/unload products when required.
- Must be responsible, trustworthy, customer-focused and safety-conscious.
