A mid-level backend engineer specialising in Java to design, develop and maintain core banking services and REST APIs for a Lagos-based internet-powered distribution platform. What you would do

• Design, develop and maintain core banking services such as customers, accounts, transactions and ledgers
• Customise Apache Fineract using extensions, modules and business processes
• Build secure, scalable REST APIs for digital channels and internal use
• Implement reliable transaction processing with proper idempotency and error handling
• Integrate event-driven services using Kafka or similar messaging tech
• Design and optimise database structures and migrations using PostgreSQL or MySQL

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with Apache Fineract or Mifos X
• Experience building or integrating Fineract-based core banking solutions
