Merchant Acquisition / Cluster Growth Agent

About this role

The role is a field sales position focused on acquiring electronics merchants and growing a new merchant cluster in Saka Tinubu, Lagos. The successful candidate will visit electronics businesses, onboard merchants, demonstrate the platform, and drive BNPL orders and activations. The position targets building a defined number of active merchants and expanding the merchant base from warm introductions provided by the company. It involves representing the company in the electronics market and training merchants to use the platform. The employer is Ad-vise Digital Media, a Lagos-based online marketing agency launching a SaaS platform for electronics merchants.

What you would do

• Identify opportunities to improve the platform and merchant experience
• Follow up with newly onboarded merchants to drive activation
• Represent the company professionally within the electronics market
• Maintain relationships with merchants and understand their needs
• Encourage merchants to process their first and subsequent BNPL orders
• Track merchant acquisition, activation and transaction activity
• Provide regular reports on sales activity, merchant feedback and challenges
• Identify and approach new electronics merchants within and around the cluster
• Demonstrate the platform and explain its benefits to merchants
• Train merchants on using the platform and processing BNPL orders

• 1 - 3 years of experience in field sales, merchant acquisition, fintech, POS, payments, e-commerce, telecoms or related role
• Energetic, proactive and target-driven
• Advantage for experience selling to small businesses or electronics merchants
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Ability to learn and demonstrate a new product quickly
• Not required to be based in Saka Tinubu
• Strong follow-up and relationship-management skills
• Comfortable speaking with business owners
• Good understanding of smartphones, WhatsApp and basic digital platforms
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
