About this role
Zayith Food Company, a Lagos-based dairy startup focused on clean-label cultured dairy products, is looking for Merchandisers to cover designated retail outlets in Lagos. The role involves ensuring product availability and proper display, managing stock levels, and replenishment needs. It includes building relationships with outlet owners and managers, identifying and onboarding new outlets, monitoring competitor activity, gathering market information, and supporting sales activities. You will also submit daily and weekly activity reports and work toward outlet coverage and sales KPIs. The position suits someone with FMCG merchandising or field sales experience, strong local knowledge, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field, with a goal of meeting or exceeding sales targets and residing in or near the assigned location.
What you would do
- Visit and manage assigned retail outlets within the location
- Ensure products are available and properly displayed
- Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment needs
- Build relationships with outlet owners and managers
- Identify and onboard new outlets within the territory
- Monitor competitor activity and market conditions
- Gather market and outlet information
- Support sales activities within assigned locations
- Submit daily/weekly activity and outlet reports
- Work toward outlet coverage and sales KPIs
