Medical Sonographer / Radiographer

About this role

A full-time Medical Sonographer / Radiographer is sought by Cellulose Medical Diagnostics in Mabushi, Abuja. The role involves managing all technical aspects of ultrasound and radiographic procedures and maintaining equipment, logs and records. The position reports to and works closely with the Consultant Radiologist and other company teams to serve individual and corporate clients. The employer operates a biosafety class I laboratory offering hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry and histo/cyto-pathology services and aims for professional, safe and high-quality service delivery.

What you would do

• Restock supplies on a periodic basis.
• Operate ultrasound, X-ray, ECG and mammogram equipment.
• Prepare patients for radiographic/sonographic examinations.
• Conduct radiographic procedures.
• Maintain sonologic and radiologic logs and records (issue, maintenance, expiry, stock cards).
• Ensure equipment is properly managed and maintained.
• Set up and strengthen quality control/quality assurance programs.
• Maintain a safe, professional and client-friendly environment.
• Select appropriate equipment for procedures.
• Collaborate with the medical director and radiologist and other team members.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography.
• Valid practicing licence from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria.
• 2 – 5 years post NYSC work experience.
• Excellent computer literacy.
• Strong soft skills: teamwork, communication, initiative, adaptability and customer care.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
