Medical Officer / Site Team Leader
About this role
A Medical Officer acting as Site Team Leader is sought for a Lagos facility under the MODHIP / WRAIR-A program. The role combines clinical management of HIV/AIDS, TB/HIV and PMTCT with leadership of the site’s day-to-day operations and supervision of staff. What you would do
- Provide day-to-day clinical management of HIV/AIDS and TB at the facility level.
- Offer technical assistance in HIV/AIDS, TB clinical management and PMTCT capacity building.
- Contribute to lessons learned and apply improvements to programs and designs.
- Review site performance with clinical staff and data officers.
- Monitor monthly adult/pediatric care, TB/HIV and PMTCT targets and report to the Site Commander.
- Stay informed on current HIV/AIDS clinical management developments and implications for implementation.
- Act as Study Physician and Site Lead on relevant study protocols.
- Ensure coordination between clinic, lab and other facility units.
- Supervise the Site Administrator and other program-supported staff.
- Carry out other prevention, care and evaluation research duties as assigned.
What they are asking for
- University Degree in Medicine (MBBS).
- Clinical management training and training in comprehensive HIV care and treatment.
- Master’s Degree in Public Health is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years post-NYSC clinical care experience, with HIV/AIDS, TB/HIV and PMTCT exposure.
- Experience with ARV programmes, HIV service delivery in military settings, and clinical research.
- Registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
