About this role
The role is for a Medical Officer who will also serve as Site Team Leader at a facility in Lagos. The position involves providing clinical and research-based medical services with a focus on HIV/AIDS, TB/HIV, and PMTCT, under supervision from the Site Commander and program staff. What you would do
- Provide day-to-day clinical management of HIV/AIDS and TB patients at the facility level.
- Deliver technical assistance for HIV/AIDS and TB clinical management and PMTCT capacity building.
- Contribute to development and application of lessons learned to improve programs.
- Review monthly site performance targets with clinical staff and data officers.
- Monitor and report on adult, pediatric, TB/HIV, and PMTCT targets as assigned.
- Stay informed on current HIV/AIDS clinical management developments and apply findings.
- Act as Study Physician and Site Lead on relevant study protocols.
- Ensure coordination between clinic, lab, and other units within the facility.
- Supervise the Site Administrator and other program-supported staff.
- Perform other prevention, care, and evaluation research duties as assigned.

- MBBS or equivalent medical degree with clinical management training in comprehensive HIV care and treatment.
- Master’s Degree in Public Health is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years post NYSC experience in clinical care with HIV/AIDS, TB/HIV, and PMTCT experience.
- Experience with ARV programs and familiarity with HIV service delivery in military settings.
- Clinical research experience is required.
- Registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Knowledge of health and development programs in developing countries; understanding of HIV clinical management including ART.
- Knowledge of Nigerian clinical settings and both government and non-government contexts.
- Strong communication skills; ability to work with diverse teams; cultural sensitivity.
- Candidates must be resident or willing to relocate to Lagos.
