About this role
A Medical Officer is sought for a premium wellness clinic in Lekki, Lagos. The role focuses on delivering safe, evidence-based medical care, overseeing clinical assessment, treatment and follow-up for patients using preventive health and wellness services. The officer will work with nurses, laboratory staff, pharmacists and specialists to provide coordinated care and develop individual care plans. The position aims to help patients understand their health, identify risks and make informed treatment decisions. What you would do
- Coordinate care with nurses, laboratory staff, pharmacists and relevant specialists
- Provide clear instructions and clinical handovers
- Develop individual care plans based on findings and evidence
- Arrange specialist review when needed
- Recognise adverse reactions and clinical deterioration and initiate emergency care within competence
- Review laboratory results and imaging reports within competence
- Escalate abnormal or urgent findings and track follow-up
- Follow infection-prevention, medication-safety and incident-reporting procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic clinical records including prescriptions, tests and follow-ups
- Explain treatment options, obtain informed consent and protect patient confidentiality
What they are asking for
- MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical degree
- Full MDCN registration and current practising licence
- 3–5 years of relevant clinical experience after housemanship in general practice, family medicine, internal medicine or related field
- Strong skills in patient assessment, interpretation of routine laboratory results and clinical decision-making
- Ability to recognise and manage acute deterioration and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Clear written and spoken English with sound clinical documentation skills and experience using electronic medical records
